      everyone dies sometime…. In 2000, Dr. Atkins developed cardiomyopathy, an incurable heart condition which has quite a few different causes.       atkins says you have to exercise everyday. i have no idea where people get the idea that atkins doesn’t encourage exercise.

      people fall off the “all things in moderation/eat less move more” wagon all the time too.

      Yes, it can work very well. I know people who have done Atkins and kept the weight off ever since. Of course, their new lifestyle still doesn’t involve a ton of grains and pasta, but they’re ok with it. They just stick with proteins, fats, fruits, and veggies. Enough to not be in ketosis anymore, but still mostly low carb. :)

      i have losst weight doing atkins. but, atkins can be interpreted different ways. i never ate ten strips of bacon for breakfast, that would make me ill. and i didn’t really count all the carbs in my green veggies like you are supposed to either.

      as i have progressed, i have added in a little more fruit and nuts, and i generally avoid dairy, as i don’t do well with it. i ended up with more of a paleolithic diet than atkins, but they’re really not that different.
