do you work in a hotel?. i used to like the breakfasts in hotel cafeterias, but generally hated everything else, and mainly ate from the salad bar…
no. I work with a choir associated with the Rotary Club. We rehearse before their morning meetings, which provide breakfast. It’s a pretty sweet deal!
1/2 grapefruit, and Greek yogurt. with a bit of superfruit preserves and granola. And coffee with milk. I’m thirsty this morning, so more water than usual, too.
mmm.. grapefruits… I wish I could get grapefruits here, but they are import and very expensive.

. I love grapefruit with breakfast! I’m not a big fan of winter in general, but I’m sad to see it go every year because it means the end of grapefruit season.
i agree!. i’ve been juicing grapefruits a lot lately. i’m not a fan of grapefruits in general but the juice is just the perfect post-workout refreshment.
good morning. i had the best of intentions to start my day off right. woke up at 4:30 am ready to get a long-ish run in on a new route but then realized i couldn’t due to car issues so i couldn’t drive to the planned route. so, i got dressed to run outside on my usual neighborhood route (reflecting slap bracelets and all gosh darn it) and realized it was sleeting. i will run in the rain or snow, but running for fun in the sleet is a whole ‘nother story, especially in the dark. so, i resorted to plan c which was the 30 day shred. afterwards i had a couple of hours before i had to be at work, so i utilized the time to get some chores done around the house.
not exactly the “right” start to the day that i expected, but it was productive nonetheless.
onto breakfast: i had a banana before working out, and awhile afterwards had 3 eggs scrambled with spinach, cherry tomatoes, green bell pepper, cabot 50% light pepper jack cheese and mushrooms.
also had the usual coffee with a splash of milk and cinnamon, and there’s an apple if i’m hungry before lunch.
i would consider that. the best start to a day ever! Except for the car issues. If that series of events had happened to me, I would have taken it as a sign to go back to bed! You got more done before 6:30 than many people will do all day!

i guess it’s going to be. one of those days. Dammit. I really didn’t want to do any work today, but all this negative (and positive!) energy is killing my CL buzz.
yeah, I’ve had to give up some forums. because of the rampant negativity (and/or outright psychosis.) I used to chat in the Women’s Forum, and finally couldn’t take it anymore. One of my resolutions was to NEVER go to that forum again.
As long as the Xmas music doesn’t reappear,. I’m all good.

Coffee. Woke up and had a cup of coffee with some splenda and almond milk. I plan on switching to decaf this weekend. I would’ve done it sooner but with starting classes this week, I really didn’t want to suffer with caffeine headaches and school work.
One egg and one veggie patty. Plan to have some string cheese before heading out to school to keep me from starving by lunch.
Exercise = 15 minute walks to school (I go and come back atleast 2 times so that’s atleast 45 minutes a day).
Also taking a stretch/flexibility class on Mondays and Wednesdays.
You’re brave!. Good luck on switching to decaf. I work FT and I’m a FT student also… I couldn’t imagine my life without at least one cup of caffeinated coffee a day!
Finally got my appetite back today…. So breakfast was one cup cooked oat bran with a scoop of vanilla whey protein, topped with 1/4 of roasted mashed kabocha (stevia, hemp milk, and cinnamon), all topped with a big spoonful of crunchy pb and a little honey. Hit the spot… So elated to be eating today. I feel much better.
I’ve had the WORST cravings for PBJ sandwiches. I might have to give in later today.

i LOVED bellydancing!. I was horrible at it, because I have absolutely no coordination, but it was so much fun! Plus, I felt like a goddess…really powerful and feminine.
LOL. Same here. The class I took was fun and the instructor made everyone feel at ease, though. You do work up quite a sweat, too.
i used to belly dance. when i lived in santa cruz. i loved it.
when I lived. in the south end of Seattle I took lessons and loved it, but I’ve never found a teacher that I liked as well in this part of town. I haven’t taken lessons from this woman before, so maybe it’s time to give it another try.

have you tried pole dancing before? that is such a tough arm workout… the only downfall is that you get totally covered in bruises.
Buenos dias! Did food prep last night. (better late than never, right?) and made a yummy scramble with eggs, chicken gouda sausages, spinach, and shallots.
