• How about a Roll Call?. Hi everyone! I don’t post in here too often, but I’m a regular lurker. Its been a while (I think) since there was a “Roll Call” and I was curious about everyones goals. Here are a few questions…

    Plan of action; what do you feel is/was the biggest thing that helped you (or is helping you) reach your goal?

    Cutting back on junk food and planning my meals for the day.

  • Is sushi fattening?. I like the ones with avocado, cucumber, and crab. The pickled ginger, and wasabi on it is so awesome. Can anyone tell me if this is fattening or the approxamate cal count?

  • one fifty five.. Thats how much I weighed when I got on the scale on Sunday. 155 lbs. Back in January I was 135.

    I knew I had gained some weight but jeeeeeez. Time to refocus myself. Someone kick me in the ass.

  • how often do you weigh?. Just curious. I read different viewpoints re: how often to weigh. I weigh each morning before breakfast out of habit. I can see the benefits of daily, as well as weekly. Thoughts?

  • Do You Know About Cereal Technology ?. The way most cereals are made is by exruding a mash and then puffing it up with machines. There is a zero fat chip on the market called,”POP CHIPS” that is made this same way. Large American corporations are doing everything in their power to make sure they don’t become popular because it would wipe out their profits. There was a similar story when Olestra came out too.

  • Ever Try Making Tortilla Chips & Failed ?. Instead of cutting in sections, cut them into thin strips. You get the crunchiness like the mini oil sponges that they pass off as chips at the store and without all that salt too. If you have a Silpay baking tray liner you can use even less oil.

  • thanks difo. I tried greek yogurt and now I LOVE it. I can say I never thought it would be possible for me to love yogurt. I don’t know why I like this stuff but not regular yogurt. Maybe it’s the consistency. My new favorite snack is fage 2% with cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.

    I also stuck to my vow to try cottage cheese. The jury is still out. I had it on broiled tomatoes with chili powder. That was great, but since it was cooked, I didn’t really taste the cc. I feel like I cheated. So I’ll have to try it a different way.

  • Went running at the park yesterday. Did a 2 mile trail in about 38 minutes – not bad considering I twisted my ankle halfway. Now its swollen, just a strain and not a sprain. But still- it sucks, kind of hurts to walk and turn it. Driving today was painful – moving it from the gas to the break pedal. But tonight, Im going to do some Wii Fit Yoga instead of cardio type exercizes that would further impact the ankle but still get something done.

    Oh yeah- I had some light hiking shoes on that when I stepped on certain sticks, holes, or pine cones I could feel my ankle roll a bit, but it had been fine until now. So I am going to look for trail running/hiking shoes with more ankle support.

  • Beginning Weight Loss. Are there any tips and tricks for beginning weight loss. I seem to have a hard time setting up a flow, and end up quiting too early.
