• advice for exercising with real bad back. What kind of light duty exercises can i do I had major back surgery a couple of months ago this is my 3rd back surgery and i would like to start exercising, what do you recommend?

  • Best Tasting, Best Quality Vodka. As of late, I have taken to Vodka as my drink of choice. I tried a few different kinds; and did a bit of reading. I have enjoyed both Grey Goose and Stolichnaya (Stoli) so far; I can tell a bit of the quality difference in terms of “texture”.

    While I am largely unaware of the fine points of Vodka; I’d like to be educated as to how I can tell them apart in (in a fairly short form).

    From my understanding is a Stoli is a ‘top shelf’ vodka, while Grey Goose, is a bit lower? I do understand the reasons to stay away from the lower end vodkas (Burning, acidic tastes, too watery, the whole plastic bottle / tin cap).

    How can I get closer to the Stoli, or some other levels, without breaking my budget? I have also heard good things about Zyr, can anyone suggest comparable vodkas at the top levels?

  • Whats the diet food like over there?. Hey there, I’m an Aussie gal moving to the USA in a couple weeks. I’ve been slowly losing weight here and have no idea what to expect on the diet food front over there. I’ve heard y’all have a great range of low/no fat/cal stuff to choose from?

    Also, whats the standard price for a gym membership over there?

    I can’t run because of a bum knee, what other outdoor activities can people suggest for winter?

  • lost on what to do. alright i need a little help. i’m just starting to go back to the gym but i have no idea what to do. i have no weekly plan and i have no idea how to set one. i go on the elliptical for 30min and then maybe some arm machines 4x a week but i need help setting up a plan. i end up leaving sooner than i want because i dont know what to do. im 18, 5′4 and 145Ibs. would like to tone up and lose around 15Ibs. no rush just want to do it healthy. thank you for and help i can get =)

  • strength training video recommendation?. I’ve been doing pretty much just cardio and while I’ve lost a little, I’m ready for the next step.

    My FH bought P90X but chin-up bar doesn’t work for us, and I have no where in our apartment to put that resistance band to mimick it. Anyway, can someone recommend a video for strength or resistance training for a beginner?

  • 1200 calories per day. Say I eat 1200 calories per day, but I excercise and burn about 300-500 calories. Is this enough or will my body shut down and go into “starvation” mode?? or does that not happen when you excercise b/c excercise gets your metabolism going?

    I’m confused!

  • Help with tofu (again)…. OK, I bought some silken tofu to make protein shakes with, but how do you make them? I tried looking online for recipes, but couldn’t find any! :/

    Do I just add fruit and blend? Or does someone have a recipe they like to use?

  • I need help losing the 2nd 50 pounds. i have 50 pounds to lose…(i have already lost 50) has anybody plateaud after losing part of their weight? if so what did you do to get past it? i have increased my cardio and i still eat the same as i did when i

    lost the first 50. i think cutting any more calories would be unhealthy. im very frustrated, spring is around the corner and i wanted to be my goal weight by summer.

    on a typical day i eat 5 meals. i try to keep my calories between 1200 to 1400 depending on how active i am that day.all of my meals include protein and veggies i have a good carb(sweet potato or whole wheat bread or pasta)with the meal i eat right after the gym. breakfast is usually two eggs, one is just
